Residential Fence Styles We Install in Raleigh
Every fence we build starts with USA-made materials, 80 to 100 pounds of concrete per post, and a post depth of 24 inches. Those numbers stay the same regardless of which material you choose. What changes is the look, the maintenance, and how long the material holds up in central North Carolina’s humidity and freeze-thaw cycles.

Vinyl Fence Installation
Vinyl is our most-installed residential material, and it accounts for roughly 70% of our projects. Every panel we stock is virgin vinyl with through-body color that will never need painting or staining. We carry privacy, semi-privacy, picket, and ranch rail styles. Vinyl handles Raleigh’s humidity, UV exposure, and occasional ice storms without cracking, warping, or fading.
Warranty: Lifetime manufacturer warranty on materials. 2-year workmanship warranty on installation.

Wood Fence Installation
We build every wood fence stick by stick using Select #1 A-Grade premium pressure-treated lumber. Most contractors in this market order Select #2, which costs less per board but warps faster and shows larger knots within the first season. We were the first fence company in the area to use Alta Pickets, a premium wood picket that carries a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty against rot, splitting, and warping. Styles include dogear, board-on-board, shadowbox, stockade, and spaced picket. We recommend waiting 6 to 12 months before staining to let the wood dry properly.
Warranty: 10-year limited manufacturer warranty on Alta Pickets. 1-year workmanship warranty on wood installations due to Raleigh’s severe weather patterns.

Aluminum Fence Installation
Powder-coated aluminum gives you a wrought-iron look without the rust or the maintenance. We install flat-top, spear-top, and curved-top styles for front yards, pool enclosures, and HOA communities that require a consistent streetside appearance. Every aluminum post is set in 60 to 80 pounds of concrete at a 24-inch depth.
Warranty: Lifetime manufacturer warranty on materials. 2-year workmanship warranty on installation.

Chain Link Fence Installation
Galvanized chain link with 11-gauge residential wire is still the right answer for large perimeters, dog runs, and sport courts where visibility matters more than privacy. We also offer vinyl-coated chain link in black, green, and other colors for a cleaner look, plus slatted privacy options for areas that need screening.
Warranty: Lifetime manufacturer warranty on materials.
Fencing by Purpose
Not every project starts with a material choice. Sometimes you know the problem and need help picking the right solution. These pages break down our work by what the fence needs to do.

Privacy Fencing
Board-to-board and shadowbox designs in vinyl or wood, with custom heights up to 8 feet. If your backyard faces a busy street or a neighbor’s second-story deck, we’ll walk through options that match your lot and your HOA guidelines.

Pool Safety Fencing
North Carolina requires pool fences to meet specific code standards for height, gate latch placement, and self-closing mechanisms. In North Carolina that is a minimum of 4ft fence around a pool and less than two inches from the bottom of the fence to the floor. We design every pool enclosure to pass inspection on the first visit. Aluminum is the most common choice here.

HOA Fencing
We’ve worked with HOA boards across the Triangle for six years. We prepare your architectural review packet with fence specs, material details, and a site diagram. You submit the packet to your HOA, and we wait for approval before scheduling the install.
Why Our Work Is Different
Most residential fence companies in Raleigh follow the same installation defaults. These are the places where we don’t.
We Use Grade #1-A Lumber, Not Grade #2
Select #1 A-Grade has tighter knots, lower moisture content, and straighter boards than the Select #2 that most fence contractors order by default. The grade difference means fewer warped pickets in the first year and a longer lifespan before the wood needs replacing. You can see both grades side by side in our stock room and feel the difference yourself.
Every 6-Foot Fence Gets Three Horizontal Rails, Not Two
The industry default for a 6-foot fence is two horizontal rails. Two rails leave a long unsupported span between top and bottom, which leads to flex and sag over time. We install three rails on every 6-foot fence, and four rails on fences 8 feet and taller. The added rail is a structural decision, not an upsell.
Every Material We Use Is Made in the USA
All of our vinyl, aluminum, and chain link is sourced and manufactured domestically. Overseas vinyl uses recycled feedstock that becomes brittle and discolors within a few years. Virgin vinyl resin holds its color, resists UV breakdown, and won’t crack in a North Carolina ice storm. This is a purchasing policy we’ve followed since 2020, and you can verify it on any stock room visit.

Questions
Common Questions About Residential Fencing in Raleigh
Do I need a permit to build a fence in Raleigh, NC?
Yes. The City of Raleigh requires a zoning permit for most new fence installations. The permit fee is $264, and approval typically takes 1 to 2 weeks for straightforward projects. You can start the application here. We prepare your permit paperwork at no extra charge as part of every quote. If your home is in an HOA, we also prepare the architectural review packet with material specs and a site diagram so you can submit it to your board before we schedule the install.
How long does a residential fence installation take?
Most residential projects are completed in 1 to 3 days once your permit is approved and materials are staged. On day one, our crew sets every post in 80 to 100 pounds of concrete at a 24-inch depth. We hand-dig in tight areas or near root systems where an auger could cause damage. Panels and pickets go up after the concrete has fully cured.
Do you offer financing for fence installation?
Yes. We offer financing for all credit types with multiple repayment terms. Checking your rate does not impact your credit score. You can apply during your free consultation or at any point before installation begins.
